AAMA 2014 Summit Wrap Up

AAMA 2014 Summit Wrap Up

The AAMA 2014 National Summit of Medical Administrators was a successful event in terms of the quality of educational content, effectiveness of networking, and overall value to attendees. The event attracted 200 medical administrators from across the country including 40 via the Summit Livecast.

  • 93% were satisfied with the session topics.
  • 92% acquired new ideas and information.
  • 90% said the conference improved their professional effectiveness.
  • 88% found valuable networking opportunities.
  • 93% of attendees were satisfied with the conference.
  • 88% would recommend the conference to a colleague.
  • 100% of attendees visited exhibit hall multiple times; 73% identified products/services of interest to them.

More than 24 hours of educational content featured industry experts who shared their expertise on topics such as accreditation, contingency planning, healthcare reform, quality of care and more. In addition to education sessions, attendees also partook in breakout sessions, which offered interactive discussions and in-depth analysis on current industry topics.

Attendees expanded their knowledge through education sessions and roundtables, connected with fellow hospital and healthcare administrators during networking events and discovered valuable new products and services in the exhibit hall.

Two exciting new additions to this year’s AAMA 2014 Summit were the CAAMA Examination Preparation Course and the National Summit Livecast:

  • The CAAMA Exam Prep Course was developed to prepare students for the CAAMA Exam on the final day of the Summit.  The course consisted of two pre-conference webinars, a series of hour-long reviews including question and answer sessions, and multiple study group opportunities. The pass rate of students who participated in the review course was 92% compared to the average 70%.
  • AAMA members and non-members had the opportunity to listen to live streamed educational sessions covering a variety of tracks and topics throughout the Summit.  This was an extremely well-received alternative for members who couldn’t attend in person but allowed them to continue to receive the points necessary to maintain their CAAMA credential.

Connections were made during evening receptions and in the exhibit hall, where attendees visited the event’s 14 exhibitors to discover new products and services and gain valuable insights and new ideas.

Thank you to those who made the 2014 National Summit a success! We look forward to seeing you January 19-21, 2015 in Clearwater, FL.
