Accreditation Statement

This activity has been planned and implemented by Creighton University Health Sciences Continuing Education and American Academy of Medical Administrators for the advancement of patient care.  Creighton University Health Sciences Continuing Education is accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Category 1 Designation Statement:

Creighton University Health Sciences Continuing Education designates this live activity for a maximum of up to 17.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s) TM.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

(Monday-4.50 credits, Tuesday-7.50, Wednesday-5.00)

AAPA accepts AMA category 1 credit for the PRA from organizations accredited by ACCME.

Nurses Statement:

Creighton University Health Sciences Continuing Education designates this activity for up to 17.0 contact hours for nurses.  Nurses should claim only credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

AAMA Contact Hour Procedures and Application for Outside Organizations

AAMA will grant outside organizations AAMA Continuing Education Contact Hours for educational programs that support the professional development of healthcare administrators. Organizations wishing to request AAMA continuing education contact hours must submit the following at least four weeks prior to the program date(s):

AAMA contact hours cannot be approved unless all of the above is submitted to the Academy’s Education Coordinator electronically at [email protected], or faxed Attn: Education Coordinator to 312-673-6705. After application has been submitted and reviewed, the applicant will receive an invoice for the amount due based on total hours of program. Certificates of completion will be issued after invoice has been paid. AAMA continuing education contact hours will not be approved after a program has been offered.

 

Please note the following:

  • AAMA will evaluate and assign the appropriate number of contact hours based on the program information provided. AAMA maintains a standard of excellence for educational programming and reviews the programs requesting AAMA contact hours for content that is educationally focused, non-competitive and excludes commercial bias. AAMA expects sessions and programs to have educational purposes with intentions to present educational objectives and scientific material.
  • One (1.0) AAMA continuing education contact hour is equal to one hour (60 minutes) of instruction.
  • It is the listed contact person’s responsibility to distribute the certificate of completion upon approval to the attendees.
