Renee Mazeroll, RN, MSN, FACCA, VP, CV Service Line, Sharp Health Care
Anthony Long, MBA CAAMA FACCA, Pinnacle Healthcare Service
Stacy Lang and Ross Swanson, Corazon

As the healthcare market changes and competitors become allies, many organizations have become faced with the challenge of reorienting their approach to medical staff partnerships.  Healthcare reform measures and other payor strategies have cemented the need for healthcare facilities and physician providers to more fully align.  Alignment is necessary to create a more sustainable business proposition while supporting a broader patient base.   Effective implementation, coupled with an ability to sustain the alignment model, are critical factors to an organization’s future success.   While there is no “one size fits all” physician alignment strategy, the presentors will review strategies to achieve success through a review of:

  • Various integration models that promote alignment
  • Foundational components
  • Common pitfalls and lessons learned
  • Case study from a 5 hospital system including process steps
  • Real world examples of demonstrable achievements
  • The Co-management agreement – achieving accountability and identifying when it fits
