What’s new with AAMA and its Colleges
AAMA’s 2012 Annual General Membership Meeting will take place at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 14, during the AAMA Annual Conference at the Hyatt Regency River Walk in San Antonio.
Vote on Bylaws amendments scheduled at Annual Meeting: At its July meeting, AAMA’s Board of Directors approved a series of Bylaws amendments that require approval by AAMA’s voting membership. At least 100 members must be present at this Annual Membership Meeting for the vote to be valid. Up for vote are recommended changes to eliminate the role of Regional Directors and replace them with a like number of directors who oversee the various Academy functions. That will, in essence, substitute four additional function directors for the four Regional Directors, maintaining the Board’s current size. In addition, the current bylaws limit the number of Board members from a single facility to one; it is the Board’s recommendation to raise this number to two. If you have questions or would like more details, email [email protected].
