Selected by the Executive committee, this award recognizes a Regional Director for outstanding service to members and to the Academy through significant regional activities

Selection Criteria

• Governance Responsibilities

  As a member of the Board of Directors, attendance at Board meetings and submission of Regional Director reports to the Chairman of the Board. Outstanding communications in his/her role as a committee chair or board member

• Constituency Responsibilities

  Appointment and development of State Directors. The Regional Director is the official liaison between the Board of Directors and State Directors. Regular and effective communications by Regional Director with State Directors affords many benefits to the Academy. Examples include personal meetings, group meetings, e-mail, telephone and mail communication with each State Director. State Directors should be encouraged by their Regional Director to submit written reports prior to Academy Board meetings
