The Director of Cardiovascular Services of The Heart Hospital is responsible for the overall administrative leadership of the cardiovascular service line at Baylor Grapevine. The Director will develop and implement unit and service line goals, including the quality plan to improve overall performance. The position is responsible for the management of the service line budgets, financial outcomes, and resource use in collaboration with the administrative team at The Heart Hospital and Baylor Grapevine. The Director is responsible for holding the cardiovascular service line accountable for standards of patient care and performance and implementation of service excellence within the service line. This position acts as a liaison between cardiovascular services and the medical staff and has oversight of clinical and non-clinical personnel. We are looking for a strong cardiovascular leader to oversee clinical, and operational as well as program growth.
Qualifications
Candidates must have a BSN or a related healthcare or business degree at the Bachelor level, a Master’s degree and a minimum of five years of cardiovascular services experience. Previous director-level experience and demonstrated experience in cardiovascular service line growth through progressive responsibility are required.

Director Risk Management, Employed Physician Services
Responsible for: Operates and directs a facility’s risk management activities. Reviews and handles claims made against the facility, interacting with legal counsel, claims adjustors, and insurance companies. Administers the day to day activities of the risk management program, analyzing risk data, conducting risk management educational programs, insuring compliance with JACHO and other accrediting and regulatory agencies, to enhance patient safety and customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
*Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized college or university in Health Care Administration, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a closely related field is required
* Five years of experience in healthcare risk management.
* Working knowledge of hospital, department, and physician office policies, procedures and regulations.
* Working knowledge of healthcare laws, regulations, standards, and guidelines imposed by various agencies.
* Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills, personal diplomacy, problem solving and change management skills. Strong leadership and organizational skills. * Ability to make immediate decisions for effective conflict resolution and function well in stressful situations.
* Ability to maintain flexible scheduling and meet requirements of physical demands.
* Computer literate and familiarity with Windows based programs.
* ARM and/or CPHRM preferred.

Adventist Midwest Health is a network of not-for-profit hospitals and outpatient-based health care facilities in Chicago’s western and southwestern suburbs. It is part of the largest not-for-profit Protestant hospital system in the country.
Cardiac Services: A team of more than 75 board-certified physicians with experience in a variety of cardiovascular specialties performs more than 60,000 cardiac diagnostic procedures each year, as well as 300 open-heart surgeries per year, including valve and beating heart surgery. Adventist Hinsdale and LaGrange Memorial Hospitals offer a wide range of diagnostic and cardiac treatment services, and is proud to have been recently awarded the seal of accreditation by the Society of Chest Pain Centers.
Reporting to the CEO of Adventist Midwest Health (Adventist Hinsdale, 358 beds and Adventist La Grange Memorial, 223 beds), the Administrative Director for Cardiovascular Services develops and directs the cardiovascular program for the 2-hospital system. This individual facilitates collaborative efforts between Cardiovascular Services and other departments/services, in order to streamline processes, eliminate duplication of effort, and reduce/contain costs. The incumbent will have responsibility for market development in a competitive area.

The Director of Operations has responsibility and accountability for the efficient and effective administration of all Cardiovascular Services at Northwestern Memorial Hospital (NMH). The position reports to the VP of Operations and the Director of Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute (BCVI). The selected candidate will be responsible for the development and implementation of strategic initiatives to expand the Cardiovascular Service Line. The primary goal of this new position is to grow the business to a top 10 program, while creating a smooth, efficient and satisfying experience for associated patients, employees and physicians. With approximately 200 FTEs and an operating budget of $20 million the Service is also responsible for a significant capital budget.
REQUIRED CREDENTIALS
A Master’s in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or a health-care related field is required. Best candidates will demonstrate strong analytical and strategic planning skills with a track record of successful operational achievements. Additionally, they will need a minimum of 4 to 6 years of increasingly responsible leadership and management experience in a complex healthcare setting – preferably within a Service Line environment.
