Rowan Regional Medical Center, a 308 bed acute care facility located in beautiful Salisbury, North Carolina has recently completed a comprehensive Cardiovascular Program redesign, adding a new interventional cardiology component. This comprehensive program designed to meet the expanding cardiovascular needs of the community will be known as the Smith Heart Institute.

RRMC is seeking a DIRECTOR of the SMITH HEART INSTITUTE to drive the strategic direction of the CV service line.

The Smith Heart Institute Director will have strategic and operational responsibility for all components of the Cardiac and Vascular Services. The Invasive Interventional Program start up will be an immediate priority of the new Director.

Strong Clinical (Cath Lab) and operations background, preferably with PCI and Vascular Lab experience, is required.

The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston (UTMB), a leading academic health sciences center located on the Texas gulf coast, is searching for a dynamic, visionary team player to assist the Senior Associate Dean in the management of the Faculty Group Practice’s (FGP) fiscal management, program and resource planning, FGP human resources utilization, policy development, and administration and coordination of activities across all the School of Medicine clinical departments. The Executive Director works closely with the Senior Associate Dean, the clinical department chairpersons and administrators and the CFO School of Medicine to develop and implement tactical and strategic business plans in support of the School of Medicine FGP and other UTMB entities as appropriate.

This senior level position will be responsible for FGP business and administrative activities including budgeting, business planning, staff management and the effectiveness and operations of the centralized physician billing service. Qualified candidates must have a Master’s degree in Business, Health Administration, Finance or Accounting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum of eight years related experience in progressive administrative and/or financial management positions, with a minimum of two years in a senior leadership position is required with large physician groups, hospitals, clinics, or a large clinical department, preferably in an academic health sciences center. The ability to work collaboratively and effectively with all levels of the institution is extremely important. Prefer experience negotiating payor contracts and overseeing a large physician billing operation. Familiarity with information systems, regulatory compliance issues is preferred, as well as experience working in a public institution.
