General Information
Continuing Education Units
The American Academy of Medical Administrators (AAMA)Research & Educational Foundation, Inc. will award 8 contact hours (0.8 CEUs) for the44th Annual Conference and 6 contact hours (0.6 CEUs) for the pre-conferencepresented by the Federal Sector.
AAMA is approved by the American College of HealthcareExecutives for category II (non-ACHE) continuing education credit. Credits havebeen applied for from the American Association of Respiratory Care (AARC), theAmerican Society of Radiologic Technologists (ARST) and the Alabama Boardof Nursing (ABN).
The actual numberof contact hours awarded to each participant will be based on sessionsattended. To receive continuing education credits, you must complete theconference evaluation form enclosed in the onsite conference workbook and returnto AAMA. CEU certificates will not be given onsite. Please note: 10 contacthours equals 1 CEU.
Climate andConference Attire
The average hightemperature in Las Vegas in the month of October is 82oF with anaverage low of 54oF. For the 44th Annual Conference, Friday andSaturday, October 26 and 27, business casual may be worn. For Federal Day onThursday, October 25, uniform of the day is appropriate attire.
Please note: the party on Thursday night is a “60’sHappening” Theme Party. To enhance the enjoyment of participants, costumesare encouraged, but not required.
44th Annual Conference Tuition Fees Include
If you register as an Academy member, non-member, newmember or student, your registration includes the following:
- Educational sessions on Friday and Saturday, October 26-27, 2001
- Conference Workbook
- Continuing Education Credits
- Ticket to the Thursday night, October 25, “60’s Happening” Theme Party
- Ticket to Recognition Luncheon on Friday, October 26
- Continental Breakfasts and Breaks on Friday and Saturday
Federal Day is not included with 44th AnnualConference registration fee. Federal Day registration is an additional $100.
Guest registration includes “60’sHappening” Theme Party, Recognition Luncheon and continental breakfasts.
