American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer  (ACOS-CoC) Liaison Report - June 2006

Online Education Center

The Commission on Cancer has implemented an Online Education Center for cancer programs offering CoC and AJCC-related presentations.  These are synchronized audio and slides, and a written transcript that can be accessed from home or office.  The format offers you the opportunity to view at your own pace, stop and start as needed, and view as often a you'd like.  There is a fee for the sessions and continuing education credit is available.  This new resource provides an option for cancer registry staff to meet Standard 7.2 relating to cancer registry staff education.  To meet compliance for this standard, all members of the cancer registry staff participate in a local, state, regional, or national cancer-related educational activity annually.
