In this position, you will be responsible for the
business operations and financial performance of various departments of our
School of Medicine. You will be in charge of planning, managing and
assessing short- and long-term operational/financial/programmatic activities
and performances. To be successful, you must serve as a resource to the
staff, providing expertise in areas such as financial and billing reports,
accounts receivable, payer reimbursements and payroll and accounting
systems. You will also be in charge of the credentialing of physicians
and/or groups and identifying and resolving payer credentialing and claims
issues.
To qualify, you must have a Bachelor’s degree,
although a master’s is preferred, with at least 3 years’ related experience
and a strong familiarity with physician revenue cycle functions. Proficiency
in Microsoft Excel and Word, or similar programs, is required. Strong
communication, analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills are
essential to success.

Cardiovascular Service Line Administrator Reports to: Chief Operating

Responsibilities: The Administrator of Cardiovascular
Services is responsible for the leadership, successful operations, and
quality of Cardiovascular Services at the facility.
* Facilitates the integration and teamwork of all Cardiovascular Departments
for optimal care of patients.
* Works in conjunction with the facility administrative staff and the
Cardiovascular Medical Staff to ensure the highest level of care for
patients, and ensures that all services provided meet all regulatory
requirements and guidelines.
* Works with physicians to adopt and incorporate quality initiatives,
understand economic considerations, and increase physician/hospital
alignment.
* Responsible for development of strategic and tactical plans to maximize
the effectiveness of Cardiovascular services at the facility. This includes
budget planning and management (capital and operational).
* Responsible for ensuring that Cardiovascular Services are performing in
conjunction with the mission and values of the facility and of HCA,
including participation in goals and processes derived form HCA-CCMN
initiatives.

Pediatrics facilities, in or out of an academic environment will also be
highly considered. It is essential that all candidates have financial,
operational and research exposure in a highly matrixed organization and be

serving more than 150,000 operating room and outpatient visits per year.
An administrative background in an academic
environment is essential; your qualifications must include at least seven
years’ experience –
and demonstrated success –
in managing a large department in a major academic medical center. Specific
areas in which proven abilities are essential include: centralized budgeting
and financial management; strategic planning and execution, including
leadership during periods of transition; managed care; third-party payments
and a variety of other areas relevant to an academic surgical department. A
Bachelor’s degree is required; although a Master’s is strongly preferred.
