As Assistant VP, you'll exercise leadership and management responsibility over all functions within assigned management portfolio ensuring efficient services that are designed to meet the needs of patients, physicians, the public, and staff within a DUHS Institute/Center. Duties will include:

  • Developing and fostering effective collaboration between clinical departments and other affiliated services to ensure an integrated approach to providing services, and fulfilling our clinical, research and educational goals and objectives

  • Developing new business strategies to enhance market share and improve overall performance

  • Coordinating the delivery of clinical care related to these areas in conjunction with the Chief Medical Officer and Chief Nursing Officer, among others

  • Communicating key information to the stakeholders of these service areas with respect to managed care, marketplace needs, the competitive environment, cost management, and customer-focused programs and services

  • Leading and supporting key committees pertaining to these service areas

  • Coordinating the determination of fiscal requirements of assigned departments and review budgetary recommendations (capital and operating): monitor, verify, and reconcile expenditure of budgeted funds

Master's degree in a related field; or equivalent experience and 5+ years experience in responsible hospital operations including at least 3 years at the administrative leadership level.
