VP, Patient Care Services is responsible for the operational and
ancillary functions of St.Vincent Heart Center of Indiana, which is
comprised of 80 inpatient suites, a heart emergency unit, four operating
rooms, four cath labs and state-of-the-art imaging and other
cardiovascular services.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing solid
leadership, direction, support and administration to the 13 clinical
departments of the hospital, with accountability for approximately 300
clinical FTEs. The Vice President, Patient Care Services will have
budgetary and clinical accountability for the performance of more than
900 open heart surgeries and 2,500 interventional procedures each year.

In collaboration with the designated Oncology Service Line Medical
Director, supports oncology service line development, refinement and
growth. The Oncology Service Line Director will direct, plan, market,
and implement the oncology service line with direct responsibility for
the overall staff of the cancer center in conjunction with the Medical
Director. This includes the functions of oncology outpatient infusion
services, psychosocial services, cancer screening programs, the cancer
committee, tumor registry, research program, radiation oncology
services, and the cancer center facilities with liaison/collaborative
responsibility to private practice medical oncology.
Qualifications include:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related area is required.
Master's Degree in Health Care Administration or related area is preferred.
2. Extensive knowledge of hospital administration and allied health required
including 5-7 years of active administrative/management experience in the
healthcare environment required.
3. Minimum of five years of oncology experience preferred. Extensive
knowledge about the clinical needs of the cancer patient and his/her family
required.
4. Demonstrated leadership ability, and communication skills necessary to
interact effectively with physicians, management, staff, external
agencies/customers and patients/families required.

patient revenue in excess of $400 million is seeking an executive
director of their Heart and Vascular Center. The Hospital and the Heart
and Vascular Center have consistently ranked among the top 100 in the
country and most recently ranked 24th by U.S. News and World Report.
They are also the largest provider of cardiovascular care in the greater
Cincinnati area, as well as The Most Preferred for 12 years in a row.
The Executive Director will report to the CEO, Susan
Croushore and lead the key constituents of the Heart and Vascular Center as
well as many matrix functions to develop and expand market share and growth
opportunities while ensuring continued superior clinical outcomes and
customer service. The Heart and Vascular Center currently performs over 6000
caths and 650 open hearts through 6 cath labs and 3 EPT labs. They also have
participated in over 800 cardiovascular clinical trials.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated
success in developing a product line (preferably cardiovascular) through
enhanced primary care relationships, co-branding and other creative
initiatives which have proven successful in a highly competitive market. ROI
on new business opportunities will be imperative as will understanding
operating efficiencies and quality. A graduate degree is also required. They
will be adept at working with physicians, matrix relationships and
accustomed to dealing with change.
